(A) brush coating
Brush coating is the earliest use, the simplest and most traditional manual coating method, easy to operate, flexible, can be painted any shape of the object, in addition to fast drying, poor leveling of the paint, can be applied to a variety of coatings. Brushing method can make the paint penetrate the fine pores of the metal surface and strengthen the adhesion of the coating film to the metal. The disadvantages are high labor intensity, low work efficiency and poor coating appearance.
(ii) Scraping
Scraping is the use of scraper coating method, used for viscosity, 100% solids content of the liquid paint coating. The common defects of the coating film of the scraping operation are cracking, peeling, rolling, etc., and the thickness of the coating film is also difficult to be uniform.
(C) dip coating
Dip coating is also a traditional coating method. The method of solvent loss is large, easy to cause air pollution, not applicable to volatile coatings, and the thickness of the film is not easy to be uniform, generally used for complex structure of the equipment or workpiece.

Dip-coated aluminized steel pipe is mainly used as tubular furnace pipe in petrochemical industry, various heat exchanger pipelines, fractionation tower pipelines and so on.
(D) coating
Drenching is the paint from the nozzle sprayed to the coated surface, the paint after the top-down flow will be coated surface completely covered after the formation of coating film coating process engineering. The equipment used in this method is simple, relatively easy to realize mechanized production, easy to operate, high production efficiency, but the film is not flat or incomplete coverage. Film thickness is not easy to be uniform. Coating than dip coating solvent consumption is large, will also produce safety and pollution problems.
(E) spraying
Spraying is the use of compressed air in the nozzle of the gun to produce negative pressure in the paint container from the paint nozzle spray, and immediately into the high-speed compressed air flow, so that the paint liquid a gas-phase rapid diffusion, was dispersed as a mist particles shot to the coated object, uniformly coated on the surface. The method requires that the viscosity of the sprayed paint is relatively small. Diluent is often added to the paint. The advantages of the spraying method are uniform thickness of the coating film, flat appearance, and high production efficiency. The disadvantage is that the loss of material is much greater than the brush and drip coating and other methods, and the use of solvent-based coatings will cause environmental pollution. Applicable to a variety of coatings and a variety of coated objects, is the most widely used coating process. For example, the spray plating used in chemical production is more commonly used to spray aluminum and zinc on carbon steel. Zinc plating is mainly used to prevent atmospheric and water corrosion. Aluminum plating can be used for corrosive environments containing sulfur compounds, such as sulfur-containing petroleum processing equipment and rubber vulcanization tanks.
